Sharing with a teammate

Every person gets their own Lane. Lanes are private: a teammate cannot see or reach your Boxes, and you cannot reach theirs. That is by design.

  1. Ask your admin to add them. They need the email they sign in to Tailscale with. No GitHub account or repo access is needed.

  2. Your admin sends them an invite to the private network and a setup message with the af download link and a one-time token.

  3. Your teammate follows Getting started on their own device, then creates their first Box:

    Terminal window
    af box create dev --json
    af box ssh dev

Because Lanes do not reach each other, share work the usual way: through git. Push your branch, and your teammate pulls it on their Box. For CI, each of you can register Runners on the same repo (GitHub Actions runners).
